About me
My research interests lie in how language evolves through the interplay of everyday use and cognitive processes, blending historical linguistics, syntax, and corpus methods. For my PhD, I’m exploring syntactic change in English, with a focus on Noun Phrases (NPs), using corpora and a Usage-based Cognitive Construction Grammar approach. I want to understand how these constructions form, stabilize, and shift over time – and why these patterns matter for both language history and broader linguistic theory.
